Mena Alexandra (born on February 13, 1979) is an actress and model hailing from the United States. Her modeling career began in the year 1990, and then moved into acting, after appearances as a guest on TV shows like Boy Meets World or High Incident. In 1997 she debuted as an actor in the film Nowhere. In American Beauty and American Pie, she gained wider recognition in her roles. Her next role was Loser (2000) in which she starred alongside American Pie actor Jason Biggs. She was later the role of the title character for the film Sugar & Spice (2002). Spun, a independent drama from 2002, and the Trauma (2004) thrillers were also part of her professional career. The other films she appeared in include HBO's series Six Feet Under. In 2008, Suvari was included in a variety of films, including Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and the film adaptation of The Garden of Eden. Suvari is the modeling model for Lancome cosmetics and also print advertisements in the brand's Lancome Paris Adaptive and has been featured in a variety of fashion magazines as well as blogs like Vogue. She is a long-time supporter and activist for the highly regarded African relief organization The African Medical and Research Foundation. She is an activist to empower women, and is a part of charities that are fighting breast cancer, or an End Violence Against Women movement.
